My name is Jean Swanson, and I have over 25 years’ experience in design. I have worked extensively on hundreds of projects from a small color consultation to new construction projects both residential and commercial. I have been directly involved in all aspects of the finishing selections both exterior and interior. I am dedicated to my client’s complete satisfaction. In addition, I have a vast resource of high-quality vendors and contractors at my disposal when applicable. I have dealt with many and use only those who treat my clients the way I want to be treated.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Welcome to Lasting Impressions. I believe your home should reflect you and your family. My strengths are my ability to visualize a project from my client’s point of view and to execute it to completion. This is accomplished by really listening to you and combining your ideas with my expertise to create a beautiful home that matches your lifestyle. Good design is only good if it functions for you! I do not force my taste on you, and I am very happy to use existing furniture and accessories. I personally work on all projects myself from start to finish. I am very detailed oriented and have worked on projects large and small. Whether you want a complete room makeover, color direction, finishing touches, a seasonal room refresher or a grand plan, I can work within your budget.

DESIGN PROCESS

We start with a phone call and discuss your goals and the scope of the project. I will ask you to send photos of your home or the rooms that you are interested in refreshing. This helps me get an idea of what I should bring to our first meeting. I will come prepared with paint color templates and or some of the finishes that we may want to use in your project. I will elaborate further on finishes at our first meeting. You may need only an hour of my time or you may need several. The length of time required for your project is discussed in advance.
